Are you about to start your thesis and not have an exciting topic yet? Do you want to get an overview of the various working groups at the University and DESY?
If that’s the case then you’re at the right place with the OBaMa – the Orientation event for Bachelor and Master Theses takes place every semester on the DESY Campus in Bahrenfeld. Together with the youth branch of the German Physical Society the Student Council invites you to view presentations for the various working groups, their research topics and possible thesis topics. Afterwards you have the opportunity to get into a conversation with the groups while enjoying coffee and cake.
To maintain coherence with the majority of master lectures the presentations will be held in English, the slides of the presentations are however, depending on group, also available in German
In Übereinstimmung mit der Unterrichtssprache der meisten Mastervorlesungen werden auch die Vorträge der OBaMa in der Regel auf Englisch gehalten – die Folien sind allerdings je nach Gruppe teils auch auf Deutsch verfügbar.
