Appeals Committee at the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of June

Invitation to Talks and Discussions of the Appeals Committee for a Professorship in Many-Body Theory of Quantum-Optical Systems at the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of June

Important: This committee will take place as an online session. Therefore, we need to get an agreement of confidentiality. You will find more information below this post.

What are Appointing Committees?

Appointing Committees are Commissions made up by professors, scientific staff and students. It has the goal to find the best candidate for a professorship.

This Committee

This Committee is to find a candidate for a professorship about Many-Body Theory of Quantum-Optical Systems and will be part of the clusters of excellence. We have already reduced the list of candidates. Now we want to single out the best one.

Invitation

Now, it’s your turn: We want to invite you to the public talks and discussions on Monday, the 15th, Tuesday, the 16th, Wednesday, the 17th and Thursday, the 18th of June.

For students we have special discussions with the candidates. This dialogue is meant to be about methods and experience with teaching of the candidates, but other topics are welcome. This is to ensure good attitude of the candidate towards teaching.

Topics for the scientific talks

– Candidate A: Spontaneous formation of quantum patterns
– Candidate B: Many-body physics of cold atoms and two-dimensional materials
– Candidate C: Non-equilibrium dynamics in quantum matter
– Candidate D: Multidimensional Energy Transfer Dynamics @ the Nanoscale and Photoinduced Energy and Charge Tranfer Processes in Molecular and Nanostructured Arrays
– Candidate E: Quantum engineered systems
– Candidate F: Interplay of Coherent and Dissipative Processes in Engineered Quantum Systems
– Candidate G: i. Autonomous Quantum Error Correction by Strong Engineered Dissipation ii. Quantum State Transfer and Quantum Metrology with BEC-SQUID Hybrids and Experimental Quantum Cosmology: Simulating Analogue Trans-Planckian Physics in Ultracold Dipolar Gases
Candidate H: Many-body physics of cold atom and hybrid light-matter systems pulled out
– Candidate I: Coherence between matter and light – tricks and challenges in quantum metrology and technology
– Candidate J: Exploring the Mysteries of Collective Quantum Dynamics: The Search for Universality and Exploring the Mysteries of Quantum Matter: Novel Insights from Quantum Simulations with Ultracold Atoms

The whole commission is in English.

We would love to see you there.
